2020 Bonnie Award
The Bonnie Award recognizes a talented, mid-career female director with a remarkable body of work that demonstrates innovation, uniqueness of vision and an economy of means. To be eligible, the filmmaker must have directed at least 2 narrative feature-length films, one of which must be current (i.e: released or making its festival run in the 2019 calendar year) but still be at a point in her career where such recognition would be meaningful and provide needed support. The award includes a $50,000 unrestricted grant funded by American Airlines.
The Bonnie Award recipient is invited to participate as an honored artist at Film Independent year-round events.
